PopResume Changelog

Keep yourself informed about the most recent additions and improvements we’ve made to PopResume.

v3.24.0

Jan 18, 2026

Resume parsing got a lot smarter

We rebuilt the resume parser to handle messy PDFs, multi-column layouts, and “creative” formatting without losing sections or scrambling dates. This update improves extraction for work history, education, skills, and certifications, and reduces duplicate entries when people upload multiple versions.

v3.23.0

Jan 11, 2026

Resume scoring is now stricter (and more accurate)

Resume Scoring got a new rubric: clearer weighting for job-title alignment, measurable impact, keyword coverage, and role-specific responsibilities. Scores will feel slightly “tougher,” but they correlate better with what recruiters actually screen for, especially on high-volume roles.

v3.22.0

Jan 04, 2026

Cover letters now actually use the job posting

We updated cover letter generation to incorporate the job posting more directly—matching responsibilities, mirroring relevant language, and referencing the company’s stated priorities. The result: fewer generic intros, more targeted proof points, and better consistency with the resume version you’re submitting.

v3.21.0

Dec 21, 2025

Keyword targeting without “keyword stuffing”

PopResume now groups ATS keywords by theme (tools, outcomes, responsibilities) and suggests where they belong naturally—summary, bullets, or skills—so you don’t end up with a robotic keyword dump. You’ll also see “missing but implied” suggestions (e.g., you wrote “built dashboards” → we’ll suggest the right BI tool keyword if the job post requires it).

v3.20.0

Dec 07, 2025

Version control for your resume drafts

Every export can now be saved as a named version (“Google PM - v2”, “Sales Ops - fintech”, etc.) so you can roll back, duplicate, and branch resumes per job. This makes it easier to apply fast while keeping your best-performing versions intact.

v3.19.0

Nov 23, 2025

Faster editor + fewer weird formatting bugs

We tuned the editor rendering pipeline so large resumes load faster and edits feel snappier, especially on older laptops. Also fixed a bunch of annoying edge cases: spacing drift on export, bullet indentation mismatches, and accidental font changes when pasting from Google Docs.

v3.18.0

Nov 09, 2025

“Impact bullets” mode (yes, it’s a little magical)

PopResume can now rewrite selected bullets into an impact format: Action → Scope → Result, with optional metrics prompts when none are provided. It won’t invent numbers, but it will push you to quantify the right things (cycle time, revenue influence, conversion lift, tickets resolved, etc.) and keep your tone consistent across the whole resume.
